Having a Blast with Science

We recently started our new science unit on Balance and Motion. Students are learning how to balance different objects using counterweights. They are also learning what is a stable object and an unstable object. The photos below show the students using the counterweights to balance a paper crayfish on their finger. This experiment is from the Foss Science kit.

Getting Ready for Southwick

I headed to Southwick Zoo today to plan out our field trip.

Monday, May 4th, the second grade heads to Southwick Zoo for a field trip. I'm super excited for our trip. The kids are going to have a great time.
