Math Stations and Games

I introduced our class to the Math Station Board today. Students learned how to work with a math buddy to play a math game/station. I also introduced xtramath.org to the class today. The log-in information came home in the homework folder with the latest Woodward Weekly. 

Daily 5

We have kicked off our Daily 5 by learning about Read to Self. There will be more information about the Daily 5 in your Woodward Weekly on Monday. Here's a great pic of one of our second grade friends showing a good model of "Read to Self". 

Successful Second Day!

Today was another successful day in second grade. The students started their all about me posters. You'll see the finished products posted here soon. We also began to learn about math stations and math games. We read a favorite book of mine, "Dex, the Heart of a Hero".  Overall it was a great day! 

Happy First Day!
