Happy St. Patrick's Day!

What a crazy St. Patrick's Day! Louie made another appearance in second grade! Thank goodness none of our leprechaun traps worked. I'm not sure what I would have done with the little guy. I do think he enjoyed some of the Leprechaun houses because we found his footprints all over the room! Leprechaun Louie did make quite a mess but he left some surprises and a message too!

Earth's Surface Science Project

We have been building maps to show our knowledge of landforms and water ways. The students worked very hard on these projects. I will be showing the finished products soon or you can check them out by Mrs. Rapa's desk.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We are so lucky to have each other in class. The students wrote to each other to explain why they are so lucky to have that person in our class. Everyone enjoyed reading their compliments. :)

Learning How to Make Contractions

We performed a little word surgery to build contractions. Students learned how to create a contraction by taking two words, cutting out a letter or two, then putting the letters back together with an apostrophe.
