Learning About Erosion

For part of our Earth’s Surface unit, students developed different ways to stop erosion. They had to work with partners to develop a plan. After the plan was developed, they used materials such as sponges, aluminum foil, pipe cleaners, clay, rocks, and more to create a device that would stop a landslide during a rainstorm. The solutions that the students came up with were very creative. After the experiment, we discussed changes we would make to our designs.
